Where do broken hearts go? Based on the movie “That thing called Tadhana”, Sagada Mountain Province, particularly in Kiltepan Peak became popular for people who wanted their hearts to heal. I went to Sagada not because I am broken hearted but because I was simply broke.. financially, charing!
Sa ibang bundok nalang po kayo mag move on, bingi na po raw ang Kiltepan Peak. Expected view on the peak.
As recommended, sunrise is best at Kiltepan Peak. Sunrise and sea of clouds to be exact. So I booked a guide ahead then woke up 4:00 AM. At that time, the weather isn’t good. It was foggy and raining a bit, but since it was still 4:30 AM, chances are, rain will stop around 6:00 AM and can be able to see the sunrise. Crossed fingers!

Basin naulaw ra ang sunrise kay pink kaayo akong medyas. Shocking color kaayo besh
We reached Kiltepan Peak around 5:30 AM and the parking lot was almost full. A lot of tourists were all around, waiting for sunrise but sad to say, the weather didn’t change. Thick fog, light rain, no sea of clouds and no sunrise! I was so broken hearted. If broken hearted people went here to heal, they will surely become more broken, charot! hahaha

We had breakfast at the peak. Coffee, more coffee in a cold weather and still hoping sunrise would show up, poor me. This was supposed to be my first sea of clouds and sunrise encounter. Until such time, everybody in there realized, no chance at all, so we just went back sad and broken, echos!
Maybe the perfect view of sunrise and sea of clouds are meant for broken-hearted, but seriously, I will come back to this place and hopefully, my expectation becomes a reality, chos! Malas lang sa jud!

Thanks again guys for reading. Will update this post as soon as I can catch a perfect sunrise in Kiltepan Peak. Soon.. very soon!
