Have you heard about “workcation”? It’s a term used to define for traveling while working. It’s my first time to bring work with me while traveling, thinking my clients wouldn’t allow me to take a vacation off in the first month of the year. This trip was supposed to be my birthday travel, however, a cheaper promo was available past my birth date.
So I went to South Cebu and stayed at Backpackers Lodge in Moalboal. The room has a free wifi but it’s super slow, I cannot do any work. My work is online based by the way, so I can do it anywhere as long as I have my laptop with me and a good internet connection. My roommate told me about French Coffee Shop with free wifi.
So I walked near Backpackers Lodge and saw French Coffee Shop. They are a bit pricey but it’s all good because they had a very good internet connection but food also taste good.
In short, my workacation was successful. Every evening after my activities, I went here to work again and dine. It was a fun experience traveling while working but I missed a lot of activities, and I only stayed for a few days.If you are an online worker like me or a freelancer that would like to travel, this post is for you.
