Singapore has many people with different race, religion, cultures and they live all together peacefully and harmoniously.
little India is a place where you can experience Indian culture and experience authentic indian cuisine. In little India, there are mixes of restaurants offering northern and southern indian cuisine. Northern indian cuisines is more thicker and spicier compare to the southern indian cuisine.
I am a fan of Indian food, in fact my half sister owns an Indian restaurant in Davao City, Philippines. I like the southern Indian food better, they practice good hygiene and foods are typically lighter and tastes better in my opinion.
Indian Foods to Try
Chicken or Mutton Biryani
This is my favorite Indian food. I like most the mutton biryani, it’s a goat’s meat mixed with different spices like coriander and mixed in long grain rice. Sometimes mutton biryani is hard to find, the chicken biryani is common in restaurants. Mutton biryani is more expensive as well.

Butter Chicken
In Filipino dish, the butter chicken is fried but in India, it’s a chicken sauteed in tomato sauce with different spices. Indian food is naturally spicy. In fact many Asian cuisines like Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia are known for their strong spicy flavors. Their dishes are packed with chili and spices, while Filipino cuisines are less spicy and mild. If you are a Filipino and don’t want dishes that are too spicy, you can ask to make your dish less spicy, applicable to pre cooked dishes only. Most Indian restaurants here offer ready to serve food.

Naan and Mutton Curry
Naan is a flat bread that sometimes come in different flavor like garlic or cheese. It’s best to pair with chicken tandoori or butter chicken or mutton curry.

Roti or Parata
Roti is often available in most Indian restaurants and taste great too. Often pair with butter chicken and other dips.
Chicken Tandoori
A chicken barbeque in our local terms, but in India, the chicken is grill differently, it’s grilled inside a huge clay pot. It’s smell is great, you must try this its delicious.
