Spending Holy Week in Katibawasan Falls, Mambajao, Camiguin

Chasing waterfalls as they said the best hobby, indeed a satisfying adventure. Katibawasan Falls is one of the best and famous tourist’s attractions in Camiguin Island. Noting the waterfall’s height making it prohibited to go near.

Measuring about 250 feet high, the falls is a lovely clear stream of cool waters rushing down to a green rock pool surrounded by ground orchids, wild ferns, trees, and boulders. The water is so satisfyingly cold and waterfall is lovely at a closer look. And looking at it high above, you can find peace and serenity. Even if a lot of people flocked the area, Katibawasan Falls is still just simply majestic.

There are lots of food vendor outside Katibawasan Falls, the prices are affordable. I tried my first Salbaro, famous in Camiguin Island, a crunchy cassava coated with sugar syrup and it tasted really good. We had a sumptuous lunch also after the swim.

Katibawasan Falls is highly recommended when you visit Camiguin Island. Proudly added to my chasing waterfalls list. Waterfalls are just home.
