While white sand beaches are busy, why not try swimming pool instead? There are lots of inland resorts in Davao City and new inland resorts would probably flocked by locals as mostly we wanted to try something new. Villa de Mercedes Inland Resort is very new. Its supposed to be a club house and pool to home owners in Villa de Mercedes. I been through with many resorts and lately, I have visited this high end resort which I instantly listed as my another favorite inland resort in Davao City. I would definitely and would highly recommended Villa de Mercedes Infinity Pool for you to try this summer.
What to Expect in Villa de Mercedes Resort
We actually intended to go for a house tripping at Villa de Mercedes, located in Catigan Toril, Davao City. And as we go around the subdivision, one of the housing agents told us to check out the swimming pool. As we reached the place, I can’t helped but say “wow”! The swimming pool looks so great, enticing and modern in terms of exterior designs. The table and benches near the pool are neatly setup. There were white tents too which are elegant to look. The beauty of the resort is first class and amazingly a modern type. Indeed a breathtaking place. I thought that the resort is considered as a private resort, exclusive only for Villa de Mercedes homeowners but surprisingly they allow outsiders to enjoy the resort for a low price.
Villa de Mercedes swimming pool is infinity, not typically ideal for diving, if you expected it to be uber deep, no it’s not but the infinity pool looks great as it levels the ocean fronting the resort. The swimming pool is designed to look like a beach. It has a white looking sand bar, but it’s just a white cement something. It looked like a mini shore with white sand over it. There is also a kid’s swimming pool.
For food, there is a restaurant near the entrance gate. They serve different delicious meals, pastries, snacks and ice cream. Bringing of foods inside the pool area is not allowed however there are a walking distance cottages outside for free and you can leave your food and things there and lock the cottage when going back to the pool.
You can stay overnight at the cottage if you wish but swimming pool is only open until 11:00 PM. Villa de Mercedes swimming pool has a breathtaking view during daytime and captivating view when night comes. Different lights are all over the place and underwater lights changed to different colors which adds a dramatic effect to the place.
How To Get There
Via Moreno Agency: Affiliated real state in Villa de Mercedes Inland Resort
Make a booking first in Moreno Agency. They offer properties in Villa de Mercedes and they can tour you around and have access in the resort. You can only enter the subdivision if you have access inside, who resides in Villa de Mercedes or with any Villa de Mercedes agency.
You are lucky if the agency will offer to tour you and bring you there using their van, otherwise you can take Toril PUJ, stop at Toril proper – exactly in Chowking and take a motorcycle to reach the resort. Taxi is also recommended. You may want to get the contact number of the taxi or motorcycle drivers to fetch you because no taxi will be there at night. I have experienced this, we have no choice but to walk up to the guard house.
Entering the premises, at the guard house, inform that you have a reservation and give the agency name or your inside contact. In our case, we made this possible through Moreno Agency. You may contact them for bookings and reservations. They are actually a real estate agency that provides housing tour on Villa de Mercedes and they also entertain people who want’s to try the swimming pool.
Entrance Fees and Rates
Swimming pool entrance fee is only Php150.00 every weekdays and Php200.00 every weekends and cottage is free. They are very strict with swimming wear. Only swimwear is allowed, no zipper, jeans.
Important: Hire a taxi driver to pick you up when you leave at night. Transpo is hard to catch up when going back.
