When I created our Singapore Itinerary, I surely included the Gardens by the Bay. It’s impossible to missed this as it’s one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Singapore mainland. Upon checking the images over the internet, it’s a huge looking tree that looks nice at night. I never knew that gazing on it in actual is mesmerizing and felt like I was walking into a different world – well, I’m in another country so literally, I’m in another world! But the Gardens by the bay is so beautiful, breathtaking and so wonderful that I haven’t seen anything like this in my entire life.
We started wandering around in the afternoon. The Gardens by the Bay can be accessed via Bayfront MRT station and from there, you can see lots of gardens, sculptures, a a calm lake.
Here are the tourist attractions within Gardens of the Bay
Dragonfly and the Kingfisher Lakes
First, you’ll see the lake, it’s called the Dragonfly and the Kingfisher Lakes. There is a dragonfly and a Kingfisher metal sculpture in the lake. This is a free to all spot. No entrance fees.

The Cloud Forest
The Cloud Forest is a part of Gardens by the Bay and it is a paid tourist attraction. It is an indoor conservatory of different species of exotic plants. You can see here a man made mountain super high with waterfalls, enclosed on a dome it look like a misty forest. If you love plants, “plantita” as we call it on our local term in the Philippines, surely you’ll love the Cloud Forest. The dome is made of metal and shatter proof glass which made the lights come in naturally. The Cloud Forest is worth to visit and explore!

The Flower Dome
Another attraction within the Gardens by the Bay is the Flower Dome. This is a paid attraction too and a must try. From the word “fantasy” it truly described that well. Inside the Flower Fantasy dome, you’re like in a different world living with fairies! The hanging flowers looked so amazing and lovely. Walking in there is surreal!

The Supertree Grove
The Supertree Grove is one of the iconic attractions in Singapore, and it located within the Gardens by the Bay. I was in awe looking by these giants, signifying a nature blended well with technology. There are different plant species grow in those solar powered giant trees. Singapore is truly amazing. We spent more time in there from late afternoon to night to witness musical light show. At night, the Supertree Grove looks more beautiful with colorful lights on it. This is wonderfully made and this attraction is free to visit.

The OCBC Skyway
High above the supertrees, there is a skyway that connects to other supertrees. It is a 128-meter-long aerial walkway between the Supertrees. If you don’t have acrophobia, I recommend this one. It offers a good view of the Marina Bay Sands and the garden below. The OCBC Skyway is a paid attraction too. I was curious why it’s name OCBC and found out that it was sponsored by the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, which was named as OCBC.

Satay by the Bay
Wandering around and enjoying the view all day sounds like tiring yet fulfilling and hungry! So if you wonder if there are places to dine near the Gardens of the Bay, well surely there is. It’s expensive but it’s worth trying plus dining with a perfect view sounds appetizing!
Satay by the Bay is a local-style food court located inside the garden. A lot of food choices you had here. Late afternoon to night time, this is a busy place for diners.

My Personal Reflection
After the entire jaw dropping tour in Gardens of the Bay, it became the best highlight of my Singapore trip. I love the idea of the futuristic architectural designs were perfectly blended with nature. It’s Singapore’s signature. I see the Jewel Changi Airport, has similar attraction as well.
